The main message is - don’t panic! London is one of the shopping capitals of the world. You will be able to find everything you need here. Although the winter is long in London, the summer does exist, so you will need to pack a balanced wardrobe appropriate for both seasons. As much as we might complain about it, London doesn’t get that cold compared to New York or Vancouver - but a warm coat, scarf and gloves are a must in winter. There will also be many opportunities to do some travelling around Europe, perhaps with some skiing in the Alps or sailing in the Med. If you think you will fancy a ski trip, bring your ski clothes. These items are expensive and worth bringing across if you think they might be needed. It may seem bulky at the time, but at least you will have them when you need them.
